Responsible for the data processing described here: Markus Lanz Gotthard Strength Seestrasse 49 6052 Hergiswil NW Switzerland E-mail: info@gotthard-strength.com This privacy policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Account data: name, e-mail address and your password (stored only in encrypted form). Training profile: training goal, experience level, training frequency, preferred unit, language and plan start date. Training and health-related data: body weight, logged weights and repetitions, estimated strength values derived from them, subjective effort ratings, skipped sets and conditioning results. Subscription data: whether a subscription is running, until when it is paid for and whether it has been cancelled, plus your customer number at our payment provider. We neither see nor store your card details — they are collected by Stripe only (see section 6). Technical data: server logs created when you use the app (IP address, time stamps, browser information), as far as technically required to run the service securely.
We process your data exclusively to provide the app: building and adjusting your individualized training plan, logging and analyzing your training progress, and enabling your coach to supervise your training. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build profiles for any purpose other than your training.
Body weight and training performance can reveal information about your health. We process this data only with your explicit consent, which you give during onboarding before your first plan is created. You can withdraw this consent at any time by requesting deletion of your account (see section 8). Without this data the app cannot provide its core service.
Your data is visible to you and to your coach (trainer account), who uses it to supervise and adjust your training. Other clients never see your data.
The app runs on infrastructure of specialized providers that process data on our behalf and under contractual data-protection obligations: – Supabase (database and user accounts; our instance is operated in Zurich, Switzerland) – Vercel (web hosting and delivery of the app) – Google (only if you choose to sign in with your Google account) – Stripe (only if you take out a subscription: payment processing, invoices and the customer portal; Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland) You enter your payment details directly with Stripe. From Stripe we receive only what we need for access and bookkeeping: your e-mail address, the status and term of your subscription, and the last digits and type of your payment method. We never see or store full card details. Your training data is stored in Switzerland. When the app is delivered and when you sign in with Google, technical data such as your IP address and device details may be processed outside Switzerland. Where personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, the transfer is protected by recognized safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
The app only stores what is technically necessary in your browser: your login session, your language and unit preferences, and unsaved training entries (so nothing is lost if your connection drops). We use no tracking cookies, no analytics services and no advertising technology.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists — your training history is the basis for your long-term planning. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via the contact address in section 1. Backup copies are deleted within the regular backup cycles. Payment records are an exception: invoices and proofs of payment are subject to a statutory retention period of ten years and therefore remain with our payment provider and in our accounts even after your account is deleted. Your training data is not affected by this.
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to receive a copy of your data, and to request deletion. You may also withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
We may update this privacy policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
